So, rather fitting to my blog name, I've recently been musing over a particular thought. Having watched a lot of First Dates (I'm a sucker for the programme) I started to notice a pattern..the older you get, the less fucks you give (excuse my french, or pardon). You really start to notice the true colour of these elderly characters - some have danced in the restaurant, and others have arrived in crazy outfits, with many commenting on the fact that they just don't care what anyone thinks anymore.
I wrote in a previous
post that we shouldn't be confined by the fear of judgement, which I think is so important.
Life looks so much fun when you just don't care. I can only assume that these elderly folk have come to realise that life is too short to worry about perception.
However, we all know it's easier said than done. I am the worst for worrying what others think, especially when it comes to my appearance. I always have to remind myself that no one actually cares(!!!) - everyone is too wrapped up in themselves to even consider you more than a passing thought.
So, embrace life and love who you are! Be outrageous! Be able to look back and be proud of who you are! Push yourself to not care what anyone else thinks - life is too short to be worrying about that! I'm definitely going to try and follow this way of thinking from now on.

I've come to realise that I am a Topshop addict - it's my go-to site when I'm browsing clothes online as I end up always finding exactly what I need.
My grandparent's celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary over the Easter break, which gave me the perfect excuse to purchase a new 'dressy' outfit. I had been eyeing up the boots for a while and I finally decided to delve in my purse and buy them - (excuse the dirty sole and the sticker - oops)! They are actually so comfortable and the leather feels so soft! The ankle style elongates your legs, making them the perfect match for high waisted black jeans.
I couldn't decide between the tops, but I wore the kimono style in the end. At a hefty £50 this item isn't cheap, but I couldn't resist the uniqueness.
The clutch was an impulse buy, but I love it! It's actually really roomy, meaning theres lots of space to put your makeup, keys and so on.

Here are my latest purchases from Topshop. Being a student, I really shouldn't be frittering away money on clothes, however, the finishing of exams called for celebration.
I had been eyeing up the ROSA sandals for ages and, in the end, I couldn't resist purchasing a pair. The quality of leather is far better than I expected - the ties feel as soft as butter. Although I have nowhere to take them out at the moment, I envisage wearing them on holiday to dinner, with a tan and a white playsuit/dress - how romantic.
Recently I've been struggling with what to wear on a night out. In a bid to build my collection of going out clothes I bought this black bodysuit, modelled by my housemate Naomi. It's a really flattering fit, cinching in at the waist while hiding any sign of a food baby leftover from dinner. It comes in a variety of colours, from burnt orange to white, so I'm hoping to get a few more!
As soon as I laid eyes on the skirt I knew I had to buy it. It's so cute and is the perfect combination of A Line and bodycon. Again, this is an item I can't wait to whack out on holiday, or even spring (talk about buying ahead!). The denim is super soft and the vertical lines give the illusion of smaller hips.
I am a total sucker for wearing oversized tops and shirts, especially in Uni. This black denim one will be timeless and something I can always throw on in a hurry!

I've always been interested in interior. I used to pour over my mums home magazines when I was a mere youngster, and dream of my future house and how the rooms would be.
Having lived in halls last year, I couldn't wait to move into a house and put my own stamp on a room.
In preparation for the move, I found inspiration from Urban Outfitters Instagram page, which is filled with images of cool interiors, tagged with #uoaroundyou. Unable to afford UO's price tag, I turned to home stores such as Ikea and TK Maxx, which provided me with great finds, such as the terrarium and my bedding.
My room is probably the smallest in our house, however, I like to think this only makes it seem cosier. There is nothing like having your own little hub to escape to!
P.S...My Ampersand sign used to light up, but being the lazy student I am, I haven't even thought about replacing the batteries yet(!!!).

“What I like about photographs is that they capture a moment that’s gone forever, impossible to reproduce.” - Karl Lagerfeld
Photography is my favourite medium of art. In the book I'm currently reading, 'What She Left' by T.R.Richmond, the protagonist Alice describes photographs as 'something passing stopped', which is a perfect analogy; unlike many paintings or sculptures, the subject of photographs is indisputable - we are able to see exactly what the photographer saw, bar manipulation, in some cases.
One of my favourite photographers is Texas born Davis Ayer, who I have been following over a couple of years. I love his encompassment of double exposure, which gives a further dimension to his images. The layering creates whimsical, dream-like compositions, which hint at the passing of time.
In an interview for Playboy magazine, Ayer said he is inspired by the "intangible, chaos, time, the metaphysical life questions that you can't really answer but can engage through photography."
This chaos is clear to see; his work is exuberant - the photographs nearly, always feature young muses, flung into barren landscapes, bringing with them vitality and enigma. Patterns and colour help to emphasise this energy.
The technicality of Ayer's work is impressive. During my A Levels, I remember studying his Time Travel collection and trying to get my head around the making of it - the patterns reflect on the body like second skin, while the background remains a solid black. At the time, I was messing around with projecting images on portraits, so you can only imagine how inferior my own efforts felt!
It is safe to say that while Ayer continues to fill my Instagram feed with new work, my thirst for inspiration will remain quenched (possibly the lamest metaphor ever written).
